Swiss filmmakers target Bollywood
Two Swiss filmmakers are all determined to set their foothold in Bollywood. The first of them is director Kamal Musale who plans to make two films of which one is a romantic musical titled Barefoot in Bollywood. The second one is a road film titled Out of Maya, starring model Nethra Raghuraman and theatre personality Rehaan Engineer in lead roles and is expected to start by March 2004. Both the films will be produced by French financier Pierre Assouline, who had also produced the Malayalam film Vanaprastham (1999). The second Swiss personality is Heinz Dill who plans to set up a production house in Switzerland that would make it easy for Indian crews to shoot in Switzerland, France and neighboring countries. That apart his firm will also fund a documentary on Musale's film.
