Singer Arijit Singh to turn director

Most prominent figures in the film industry today are multi-talented. With well-known actresses taking to the mike crooning their own tracks, we hear of a different kind of shift. In fact Arijit Singh who started his Bollywood musical career post participating in the reality show Fame Gurukul, shot to fame for his rendition of the track 'Tum Hi Ho' from Aashiqui 2. After the track became an overnight hit, Arijit fast became a common name in the film musical circuit. However now we hear that the singer will soon be going behind the camera as he turns director.

 

Interestingly, buzz is that Arijit who is known to have often worked with musical moghul T-Series will be directing a film for the production house. Sources within the music company confirm that Arijit will be directing a film soon, but deny their collaboration saying, "Yes Arijit will be turning director soon, he has been wanting to do so for some time now. However as for T-Series producing the film, Bhushan Kumar sir, (head honcho at T Series) has not said anything of that sort."

On the other hand, repeated attempts to reach Arijit have proved futile.
