John Abraham versus Saif Ali Khan

After Saif Ali Khan refused to play the role of the son of (her real life mom) Sharmila Tagore and Amitabh Bachchan in Mahesh Manjrekar's bilingual Viruddh/Versus, John Abraham has stepped in his shoes. Saif cited the problem as date hassles. Manjrekar considered John for the role because of his westernized outlook and a stylish attitude as the character of the son in the film demands since he studies in the UK. Viruddh is about a 60+ couple played by Amitabh and Sharmila Tagore who are forced to face some hard times in their life. The film also stars Sanjay Dutt who is the surprise packet of the film.
