Asst. director killed while shooting for Gustad's film

Kaizad Gustad who was facing problems with his film Mumbai Central is now into serious trouble with an accident that occurred while shooting for the film. A 27-year-old British national of Pakistani origin, Nadia Khan, who was the second-assistant director of the film, was knocked down by a local train when the unit was shooting for the film near Mahalaxmi station on May 25. The accident occurred at about 12:30 pm while Khan was walking towards track no.4 with a camera in her hand and talking on her mobile phone when a local train hit her from behind. Incidentally, though Gustad had been allowed to shoot on the Western line, he had no permission to shoot on that station. Khan was rushed to the Nair hospital where she was declared dead. The case was registered at the Tardeo police station, as a road accident because the unit members felt it would take much more time to complete formalities for a rail accident. Gustad who flew with the body to London also told Khan's family that she had died in a road accident. Just when he was about to leave for India, he confessed that it was a rail accident. This enraged Nadia's elder sister Ruby Rizvi who is now thinking of taking legal action against Gustad.
