Direction by Mr. Shashank Khaitan is just OK. He has written the script and yes there are shots which are new and fresh. This film is loosely based on DDLG and makers don't hesitate to accept it but indirectly. Nothing new in story. Screenplay is fine. Dialogues are good. First half of the movie is very slow but second half saves it anyhow. First half bores at many places, second half at few places. There is not a single scene, which you can say very good or extra ordinary. Performance wise Varun Dhawan is good. Alia Bhatt is very good. Ashutosh Rana is fine. Both of the Varun friends have done good job. Jimmy Varyani as Bhanu (Humpty's friend) is good. Sahil Vaid as Poplu is fantastic. Music is fine.
