Dum Maaro Dum , a movie which i personally was waiting.right from the first trailer to the songs to the characters ,i found DMD very interesting.DMD has created quite a buzz -number of characters,chartbuster songs, beautiful locales and many other factors are the reason for it.DMD has a thrilling idea.its a well put story on paper but does it translate into an engaging thriller ? yes it does.the first hour establishes the characters and the story does not move much.first hour is quite average.but its the second half which gives this thriller an edge.climax will surely shock the viewer.also its well executed.dialogues are a mainstay of this movie.background score is good.music is superb.every songs is a gem.action is very raw and rustic which might appeal to the youth but not to the family audience.cinematography is superb.Goa is captured beautifully Rohan Sippy executes the subject with panache and style.its one of his finest works.DMD also works because of its performances.Abhishek Bachchan sinks into the teeth of the role and delivers a fine performance.it ranks amongst his good works.Bipasha Basu has a small role but she is perfect for it.Rana daggubati is a delight to watch.the debutante is very promising.Aditya Pancholi is superb.Pratiek Babbar springs in a pleasant surprise.he is brilliant.
Govind Namdeo is excellent.the supporting cast is good especially the actor playing the young cop "merci". Vidya Balan is alright.Deepika sizzles in her track.overall,DUM MAARO DUM is a gripping thriller with superb performances and lilting music.
