The Hrithik Roshan – Tiger Shroff starrer War released a week back and since then the film has been virtually unstoppable at the box office. Directed by Siddharth Anand, War that released across 4000 screens saw more shows being added post its opening weekend, to compensate for the audience demand. Now after a week’s run at the box office, War has managed to rake in a staggering Rs. 238.35 cr over its extended first week. 1. Highest grossing opening week for Hrithik Roshan: Collecting Rs. 238.35 cr War has managed to become Hrithik Roshan’s highest opening week grosser, far surpassing the first week business of his previous release Krrish 3 that had collected Rs. 166.52 cr
2. Highest grossing opening week and film for Tiger Shroff: For Tiger Shroff, War has raked in a little more than double of his second highest opening week grosser Baaghi 2 that had collected Rs. 112.85 cr. With this War now ranks as Tiger’s highest grossing opening week.
Besides becoming Tiger’s highest opening week grosser, War that drew in Rs. 238.35 cr also ranks as the actor’s highest grossing film till date, surpassing the lifetime business of Baaghi 2 that had collected Rs. 164.38 cr, within a week.
3. Highest grossing film for Siddharth Anand: Like Tiger Shroff, for director Siddharth Anand too, War has become the highest grossing film till date, surpassing the lifetime collections of his previous directorial Bang Bang that had collected Rs. 181.03 cr.
4. Highest grossing all-time Hindi film released on Gandhi Jayanti: Besides becoming the highest grosser for Tiger and Siddharth, War managed to rake in Rs. 53.35 cr on Gandhi Jayanti making it the highest grossing film to release on October 2.
5. Highest grossing all-time Hindi film for a film released in Navratri: Usually during Navratri the business of films takes a dip, similarly the collections of War did see a dent in collections, however this trend was noticed in only certain regions. Thanks to the wide appeal of the film, War has emerged as the highest grossing all-time Hindi film for a film released in Navratri.
6. Highest grossing all-time Hindi film released in October: Another record War has managed to create is that of becoming the highest grossing all-time Hindi film released in October. Collecting Rs. 238.35 cr, the film has achieved unparalleled success at the box office.
