The Rani Mukerji starrer Hichki released last week on Friday. Directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra, the film that was produced under the banner of Yash Raj Films has been doing rather well. After opening on a good note, the business of Hichki that witnessed Rs. 3.30 cr coming in on its first day saw good growth over its opening weekend.
In this box office report, we take a look at the opening weekend collections of Hichki while comparing the same to previous releases of 2018. Collecting a total of Rs. 15.35 cr, Hichki surpasses the collections of the Anushka Sharma starrer Pari that had raked in Rs. 15.34 cr to become the fifth highest grosser of 2018. If that wasn’t all, Hichki has performed better than certain other releases like Hate Story IV that collected Rs. 12.57 cr, and Aiyaary that collected Rs. 11.70 cr.
However, on the other hand, the business of Hichki does not manage to surpass the collections of other films like Padmaavat that collected Rs. 114 cr, Raid that collected Rs. 41.01 cr, Pad Man that collected Rs. 40.05 cr, and Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety that collected Rs. 26.57 cr.
