Ranbir Kapoor is certainly the star of the season, especially since his recent release Sanju worked marvels at the box office. While the Kapoor scion has already moved on to his next venture which is the Ayan Mukherji directed film Brahmastra, the actor recently broke his silence and spoke about Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s view of him choosing stupid scripts.
In fact, talking to Hindustan Times, Ranbir Kapoor went on to say that he did not agree with Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s statement that Ranbir’s choice of films was stupid. Talking about the same, Ranbir added that while he did not agree with Chopra, the statement was the producer’s point of view. But he as an actor does not regret doing any of the films that he has done till date. “I don’t agree with him. That’s his point of view. I don’t regret any film that I have done. Be it Bombay Velvet, Saawariya or Jagga Jasoos, they all came naturally from me. So, they will always be a part of me. It’s like they are your children so yes, the successful ones are obviously there but it’s the failed ones that you will be close to because you are always like, ‘why didn’t people love them?’ You always feel attached to them”, said Ranbir.
Further talking about how each of the film have helped shape him both personally and professionally Ranbir also revealed that he was not really affected by the success or failure of his films. “I had an incredible experience while working on these films. They have really added to my growth as a person as well as an actor. But when it comes to work, there is constant insecurity and desire to do better. Actually, success and failure don’t matter that much to me because I know I still have opportunities”, claimed the Sanju star.
Currently shooting for Brahmastra in Bulgaria, Ranbir Kapoor has his hands full with a string of films. Once done with the Ayan Mukherji film that also features Alia Bhatt and Amitabh Bachchan, Ranbir will commence work on his next Shamshera, followed by Luv Ranjan’s next.
