Catherine Zeta Jones is one of the most iconic actresses in Hollywood, who also has a loyal fan base in India as well. She is known for her work in films like Chicago, The Mask of Zorro, Entrapment and Traffic, to name a few. She is currently in India because her husband and legendary Hollywood actor Michael Douglas will be receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award at the ongoing IFFI (International Film Festival of India) in Goa.

Catherine recently said that The Lunchbox is one of her favourite Hindi movies and she has seen the film not once but twice because it touched her. Directed by Ritesh Batra, the film starred Irrfan Khan, Nimrat Kaur and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, among others. Nimrat is delighted to know that Catherine loved her film so much that she saw it twice and showered words of praise.

Sharing her happiness, Nimrat said, “It was wonderfully surprising to come upon Catherine’s interview and to know that she is a fan of The Lunchbox and has watched it twice. It’s a matter of great joy and pride for me to know that The Lunchbox is truly like one of the most beautiful gifts of life that will just keep giving. To know that somebody of her stature and work experience whose work I have loved and admired, of someone of that kind of an iconic status, has watched something that I have been a part of and loved it, it’s the stuff that one wouldn’t have believed when I was starting out my journey as an actor in Mumbai. It’s a beautiful way for one to know that you are doing the right thing and it’s just really, really lovely.”

The Lunchbox was an unusual love story between two people, played by Irrfan and Nimrat, who never met each other. The movie did well at the box office and also won a number of awards internationally.
