When Karan Johar took it upon himself to quiz everyone about the one 'kalank' in their lives, Sanjay Dutt talked about going to jail.  Sanjay, when asked, said, "Jail gaya Hoon, woh kalank abhi mit gaya lagta hai (I have been to jail. That shame seems to have disappeared)." Needless to say, Sanjay received a thunderous response from the audience who cheered him on by saying "Baba, Baba."

After 1993 Mumbai blasts, Sanjay Dutt was accused of possessing illegal arms. He was arrested under the provisions of Terrorist and Disruptive Activities (Prevention) Act or TADA Act. In 2007, he was sentenced to six years of imprisonment by the Supreme Court. In February 2016, he was released after completing his sentence. Since then, the actor has been working on several projects but maintaining a low profile.

Presented by Fox Star Studios, Kalank, produced by Dharma Productions and Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, will release on April 17.
