EXCLUSIVE: Ranveer Singh on how he deals with creative differences with directors and producers- “I will express my opinion only when it is invited” : Bollywood News

Ranveer Singh starrer Jayeshbhai Jordaar has hit the theatres today. The film which deals with the topic of female infanticide set in a village in Gujarat has opened to mixed reviews. The film is directed by debutant Divyang Thakkar and promises to portray Ranveer in a never before seen avatar.

Ahead of the release of the film, Ranveer was asked in an interview with Bollywood Hungama if it ever happened that he disagreed with a director or producer and still nodded in agreement. Responding to it, the actor said, “Nahi yaar, pehle hua karta tha shayad mere career mai (No. Maybe I used to do it early on in my career). Now if there is a difference of opinion or creative disagreement, I will definitely express it. I have the self-confidence to be able to do that. Yet I believe that films, cinema is a director's medium. Director is the boss. It’s his vision, his story. I am just a tool, just a vehicle for telling that story and I will express my opinion only when it is invited. The last say is of the person whose vision it is. I'll always align myself to that without exception.”

Jayeshbhai Jordaar is backed by Yash Raj Films and Maneesh Sharma who directed Ranveer’s debut film Band Baaja Baaraat. The film also stars Shalini Pandey, Boman Irani, and Ratna Pathak Shah in pivotal roles.
