Ranveer Singh, the popular Bollywood actor, was once advised that he was not attractive enough and that he should concentrate on acting if his films were to be successful. Ranveer revealed in a recent interview while promoting his next film, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, that filmmaker Aditya Chopra gave him a reality check at the start of his career. Aditya produced Ranveer Singh's debut film, Band Baaja Baaraat.

"It's been a comical journey in terms of how I perceive myself," Ranveer told Bollywood Hungama. “Adi sir supplied me with a reality check on my physical beauty at the start of my career. ‘You are attractive, but not in the normal sense. You are not Hrithik Roshan, therefore you must act correctly’."

Since following Aditya Chopra's advice, Ranveer's goal has been to appear more like his movie characters than to look good on screen. "I still don't think I'm attractive," he admitted, "but I've evolved as a person over time." There are countless other characteristics that contribute to a person's attractiveness, regardless of gender. Even with my characters, it's important for me to look like them.

He claimed that Karan Johar told him to look amazing for a scene in his next film Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani. "I am working with Karan Johar on Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani, and we all know that his films are known for having very attractive people, so his brief to me last week was, 'you only have to look your best,'" Ranveer explained, adding, "There are times when you are expected to look good, but my priority is always to look like the character."

Ranveer Singh aspires to portray a variety of personalities in his films, from Band Baja Baaraat to Padmaavat to his current part in Jayeshbhai Jordaar, and he typically succeeds. He not only plays his roles brilliantly, but he also physically morphs into them, whether he's playing a rapper in Zoya Akhtar's Gully Boy or the title character in Rohit Shetty's Simmba.
