Priyanka Chopra's mother, Madhu Chopra, recently spoke about raising her daughter and son in a liberal environment. She also revealed parenting secrets, claiming that her children were granted three fundamental rights in the home. "Both of my children had the right to free thought, speech, and expression. We used to ask them first, then tell them how we felt," she recently told Hauterrfly.

Madhu also described how her children grew into confident adults. She revealed that when Priyanka and Siddhant were younger and returned home from school, they were always asked to speak first before being given advice. "As a result, they gained confidence and never feared at public speaking, at least in front of their parents," Madhu continued. “Then it became ingrained in their personality. They became agitated."

Priyanka's mother revealed that her children had to follow certain rules. "Tantrums, raised voices, or abusive language were never tolerated. If these things were prohibited, they would be able to express themselves," she said.

She also referred to her daughter’s husband, Nick Jonas, as "very sweet." "Anyone who makes Priyanka happy is my guy,” she said when asked if she was concerned about the age gap between her daughter Priyanka and Nick.

Priyanka and Nick welcomed their first child, a daughter, in January of this year via surrogacy. Priyanka recently revealed on Mother's Day that their daughter has finally returned home after 100 days in the NICU.
