There she goes again! Looking like a zillion bucks yet again, this time for the Time 100 2018 gala. Our #GirlCrush Deepika Padukone recently made headlines as she clinched a spot in the coveted top 100 influential people by the prestigious Time magazine. The Padmaavat actress has made us prouder than ever with this mean feat. Deepika astounded us with her bold in the black avatar as the cover girl for an international magazine yesterday! Today, the diva chose an Anamika Khanna embellished ensemble and notched the ante with a flawless beauty game. The doe-eyed dimpled beauty serenaded us with her ethereal charm and a stellar performance onscreen as Rani Padmavati. Her off-screen exuberance is equally mesmerising as she gives us those three C’s of style- chic, classy and cheeky! Not the one to jump aboard the style bandwagon aimlessly, Deepika has a penchant to tread carefully on the fashion grounds, sticking to the tried and tested silhouettes, colours and cuts, rarely experimenting. Her red carpet style from the Time 100 Gala 2018 was a testimony to this sensibility that may have worked well on the home turf but left us a tad dissatisfied.

Deepika wore an embellished ivory Anamika Khanna saree inspired ensemble featuring a low cut blouse with full sleeves and ruffles on the neck. The form-flattering skirt was replete with a high ruffle neck and a pseudo pallu trail. A pair of statement emerald green and ruby red earrings by Farah Khan Fine Jewellery was the only accessory of choice.

She sported a dazzling makeup of intense eyes, defined eyebrows, hints of pink in the inner corners of the eyes, blushed cheeks, shimmery cheekbones and the deepest berry toned lips, courtesy makeup artist Patrick Ta.

Meanwhile, hairstylist Harry Josh gave Deepika a signature centre-parted slick low back ponytail.

Bollywood Hungama Style Take- Deepika Padukone

Giving the traditional saree a contemporary spin is feted Indian designer Anamika Khanna’s signature style. The whole idea of giving the world a glimpse of this essence of the Indian saree but with modernistic sensibilities, Deepika opted for the dewy makeup that only elevated the look further. The signature hairstyle pulls the look together and garnered attention to the intricate details and the makeup.

Although, we are a tad disappointed with this look as we expected Deepika to indulge in some bold colours and opt for a style switch that would be at par with the international style scene.

This look instantly reminded us of her runway look from last week as she turned showstopper for Manish Malhotra at the Walk of Mijwan 2018.

On the professional front, Deepika Padukone clinched a spot in the INR 300 crore with Padmaavat that also featured beau Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor. On the personal front, rumour mills have been abuzz with the impending marriage on the cards for Deepika and Ranveer at the end of this year.
