Amar Singh Chamkila makers unveil BTS video of ‘Ishq Mitaye’ : Bollywood News

Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra starrer Amar Singh Chamkila, based on the life of the Punjabi rockstar-singer by the same name, has already garnered ample love. The first song from the film ‘Ishq Mitaye’, which was unveiled in February, received a roaring response from audiences. Now adding to this anticipation, the team has released a video of the song's making.

Saregama, in association with Parineeti Chopra and Imtiaz Ali, shared a video on their official social media platform as it aims at highlighting the efforts the filmmaker and actors have put into the film. It features glimpses from the film which showcases the rise of the Punjabi artist from a simple singer to a rockstar. The makers shared it with the caption, “Harr ek frame ke peeche hain dher saari kahaaniyan! (Every frame here has a story behind it)”. With this making video, fans are even more excited to see the film now.

While the journey of this film is inspired by the life of the late Amar Singh Chamkila, songs in this will be sung by many renowned singers. In fact, lead actors Diljit Dosanjh and Parineeti Chopra, who are also singers in real life, have also lent their voices to some songs that were originally sung by Chamkila and Amarjot in Punjabi.

Slated to release on Baisakhi, Imtiaz Ali's directorial spectacle is the untold true story of Punjab's original rockstar Amar Singh Chamkila. The late singer was fondly referred to as the Elvis Presley of Punjab and created an uproar with his music. However, at a young age of 27, he and his wife Amarjot were assassinated in 1988. While its music will be available on Saregama, the biopic is expected to hit the screens on April 12 on Netflix.
