The trailer of one of the most awaited films of 2024, Maidaan, was finally launched today at a multiplex in Mumbai. It was graced by the entire team of the film. The star of the event, however, was producer Boney Kapoor who raised laughs with his entertaining one-liners.

Boney Kapoor also spoke highly of the film’s entire team, including main actor Ajay Devgn. About the supporting cast, he said, “For almost a year, they trained for their roles. In actors ko humne football players bana diya hai!”

He revealed, "We have shot the football scenes with 8 to 10 cameras. Director Amit Sharma and I had forgotten football. But I believe after working on this film, he can get selected in any football team!”

Boney Kapoor continued, “Amit is the busiest ad filmmaker of the country. During the making of this film, he didn’t direct any ad. 6 mahine pehle maine usko zabardasti kaha ki, ‘Tu kamayega toh hum bhi prosper karenge! Ad shoot karna shuru kar le’.”

He then said, “My entire production team has sweated a lot. Now it’s the turn of Zee Studios’ distribution (to give it the best possible release).”

At this point, Boney Kapoor said that Maidaan will get a release in IMAX. He stated, “I was very keen for Maidaan’s IMAX release. Aur yeh goal maara Zee Studios ki Bhumika Tewari ne! This is a film that needs to be seen on a very wide screen as it’s mounted on a huge scale. IMAX mein 10 times aur maza aayega.”

Lastly, he raised laughs as he quipped, “The film also has chances of releasing in 3D. Woh depend karta hai ki hamare paas paise kitne bache hai! Abhi toh jeb khaali hai. Ab pata nahin, aage kitne (paise) jama hote hai.”

Maidaan also stars Priyamani and Gajraj Rao and it releases this year on Eid.
