READY remained the first choice of moviegoers in its second weekend. Though the multiplexes at some metros didn't respond too enthusiastically in the morning shows [the noon shows showed good improvement], the film opened exceedingly well at single screens everywhere. In fact, the film is expected to post handsome figures in its second weekend. What's also credible is that the morning and noon shows of READY were much better and ahead of all new releases.
Amongst new releases, X-MEN: FIRST CLASS fetched an excellent start and the business is only expected to improve towards evening/night shows … SHAITAN began on a dull note at plexes, although the film carries a strong word of mouth and a section of the industry is hopeful that it might consolidate its position by Friday evening/night … LOVE EXPRESS had a poor start everywhere … WEST IS WEST too started on a below average note, but is expected to grow at plexes of metros.
