It's not often that we get to witness sibling rivalry within the industry. But last week, cousins Priyanka Chopra and Parineeti Chopra were at loggerheads with both their films, Zanjeer and Shuddh Desi Romance, releasing on the same day.
Bollywood Hungama decided to pit both the actresses against each other analyzing their success ratio at the box-office. Interestingly, while Priyanka Chopra was expected to dominate the box- office, this time it was sister Parineeti who stole the limelight.
While Priyanka's Zanjeer accumulated Rs. 3.58 crores on the Opening day, Parineeti's Shuddh Desi Romance collected Rs. 6.45 crores. What's more, a similar trend was evident over the weekend with Parineeti's film collecting Rs. 23.27 crores as compared to Priyanka's film which collected Rs. 10.16 crores.
Since both the films are still running in theatres, it remains to be seen whether Zanjeer manages to close the gap.
