Some of the best cinema to emerge from the subcontinent in recent years will make their international and regional debuts at the second Dubai International Film Festival, to be held from December 11-17. Of the nine films in the Festivals Cinema from the Subcontinent program are five Indian films: SRINGARAM/DANCE OF LOVE, MAINE GANDHI KO NAHIN MAARA, REFLECTIONS, NISSHABD/REACHING SILENCE and WATER. Yash Chopra is this years Asian honoree. Chopra will share the Festival spotlight with Adel Imam, the famous Egyptian actor and American superstar Morgan Freeman, who are the Festival's Arab and Hollywood honorees, respectively. Two films of each honoree will be showcased during the Festival. The two Yash Chopra movies at D.I.F.F. are LAMHE and VEER-ZAARA.
