Well narrated story n SRK is reinventing himself ( though Age is quite apparent catching on him), Fresh newcomer, she acts well n does her job well. Few holes in the story n a bit draggy at times. A lot of discussions are in air about love. The question still haunts us, what is truelove? How we identify true love? What is the test of fire to prove that it islove? What if we are blind to real love? Many a time we realize an angel when theyare gone. Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is astory of a couple who found the angel in the partner before they get parted.<BR><BR> Surinder Sahni (Shahrukh Khan) is a very innocentlooking man with special mannerisms but very talented and good at heart. He went to attend the marriage ceremony ofhis master’s daughter Taani (Anushka Sharma). Surinder got attracted to Taani in the firstlook itself. An accident happened tothe bridegroom and the master got a serious heart attack. Surinder accepted Taani’s hand and now backto his old house in Amritsar. Their marriage however doesn’t even get astart where Surinder is very shy, conventional and not so forward person. Taani on the other hand requested extra timeto get adjusted to the situations but could not promise that she will ever beable to love Surinder. Surinder notedthat Taani is not happy and when she requested his permission to join a danceclass he gave his permission. Surinder want to make sure that Taani isenjoying the dance class so that the old Taani’s pleasantness stayed with her. With the help of his friend (Vinay Pathak)he took a new look where Taani will not identify him and join the danceclass. To know the furtherproceedings, watch the film.<BR><BR> The movie got one major plus point in selecting a themewhich many shy away from treating in its totality. Can you start your love story after marriage which gives you a feel of love? Director Aditya Chopra took this as a challenge and dare to attempt such a theme.<BR><BR> Strength of any good movie is its storyline, screen play andthe direction. Storyline’s strength will depend on the strength of characters and the created situations. I am sure Aditya Chopra had a good idea when he planed the movie. Then, he failed to give strength to the characters and also failed to create situations which convince and influence the audience. The writer didn’t permit the leading characters to develop, instead made their union in a hurry. The reasons for certain actions by the leading characters are not well explained. Surinder’s change as Raj is not presented ina believable way. Also after a point the story is very predictable. The first half was very slow where second half was better. The climax and the situations leading to it in the last 15 minutes were good. The judgment of the competition however could have been better, where the performance by the winners were not that good for the prize.<BR><BR> Shahrukh Khan excels once again. Acting of Shahrukh is the only saving grace which I can give a 100%. Anushka Sharma’s start was not so brilliant. Thankfully after the initial15 minutes she has shown great confidence and from there own one don’t have to worry about her. May be the director should have given bit more time to settle down the actors especially when they are new. Vinay Pathak is the only other person who got a small role worth mention and he did it good. Ravi K Chandran’s cinematography is pleasant. It is bright most times. There are two scenes which captured my attention simply for the cinematographic brilliance. One - where a city is shown in Anushka’s eyes. Two - light reflections in the pond around the golden temple. Brilliant!! However, there are certain odd scenes which one will find difficult to convince that this is done by the master. But overall,cinematography is very good.<BR><BR> Editing of the film could have been better. At least 15 to 20 minutes could have been trimmed. Also, few of the scenes looks placed out of sequence.<BR><BR> Music is a mixed bag. Haule Haule is a good number. Also the track ’Tujh Mein Rab Dikhta Hai’ gotattention. Other songs were notcompetent enough to carry emotions required by the situations. Quality of choreography varied from song to song.<BR><BR> Some excellent Scenes:<BR><BR> 1. Shahrukh’s mannerism as the typical conventional buddijeevi in the first 15 minutes.<BR><BR><BR><BR> 2. Anushka chasing the Tiny singh. 3. Shahrukh’s fight with Sumo Wrestler.<BR><BR> 4. Anushka’s confession to Shahrukh the day before the competition night.<BR><BR> 5. Anushka’s expressions on face while dancing in the climax. Excellent!<BR><BR> 6. Shahrukh is offered Chicken Biriyani after the eating competition, by Anushka.<BR><BR> 7. Shahrukh’s talk with the dummy.<BR><BR> Overall, the movie doesn’t meet the high expectation following it. It is recommended to those who like Shahrukh Khan’s movies. For others, it is like any other bollywood movie which is just above average. It is good for the film to have a lesser expectation bar so that the disappointment will not be huge.

The movie is very emotional i would like to say, For the girls do bring some tissues..The whole movie is very simple. Suri finds it hard to find love, he finally does find love with the girl next door. The whole movie is about them two meeting they soon get married because Tanni feels sorry for Suri Being alone and she can see how much he loves her, Basically her friend thinks its wrong to marry someone out of Simpathy but she says with time she will learn to love him in time. Your heart goes to Suri Stright away because he is innocent and simple. Shahrukh khan did a great job with facial expressions with Suri, Suri is not into movies or dance...he is very boring he likes reading the news, he goes to work and he comes back and he reads books. Tanni is diffrent she is into dance and having fun. Suri tries to express his love to Tanni Alot but she always fails to hear what he says. There is one scene where Tanni is talking to her friend saying she married the most boring person ever and maybe it was a misstake getting married to him. Here is where you feel sorry for Suri overhearing what his wife said. She explains to her friend how she had tried to make him feel happy but he always does not know what to do or say in return. Suri has this moment where he goes to a picture of his farther who looks just like him (with glasses) and blames his farther for his upbringing and being the way he is. he looks at the photo and and tells his farther that why did he not let him out the house and play with the other kids instead of staying home and studying. He then tells his late farther he is a loser and he made him that way, but he will change this and prove everyone wrong. Interval kicks in when Suri promises that he will bring his wife more happiness then ever before. The whole second half of the story is a transformation of Suri To Raj and he becomes Raj to help his wife in a dance final called "Dancing Jodi" They do not win the compition, But being Raj makes his wife fall in love with Suri again, in the viewing of Raj when he infact is suri, she knows that but mid way evan the audeince forgets its really suri. There is climax scene where they stand outside the village on a bridge where Suri First proposed to her.. He asks her if she loves Raj or Suri, he asks if tommorow when i turn into Suri again will you love me just as much as you do now? She excepts she was at fault and she loves him just as he is and she would not change him for anything in the world. She then says she is proud of him which then drops a tear on Rajs eyes. the next scene is Suri being back on his scooter giving his wife a lift to her dance class. Before she goes into the dance class and leaves the scooter she comes back and kisses Suri on the cheek and says "Main Tumse Bhut Pyar Kartha Hoon". Then Suri Smiles and she walks to her dance class..Credits roll..yash Chopra speach ends the movie with it zooming out with a fool blast of the town "he says something of the lines of sometimes, you do not relise your true love is right infront of you...and every jodi is special because love itself is special" The film is not a Dilwale Dulhaniya le jayenge but it is one of the best films of the year and surpasses Mohabbtein by a milestone. the story is simple and fresh and you will be routing shahrukh khan to get his happiness. Overal a great movie and it will have you crying in bits

I just watched the screening of the movie here in dubai and to be honest i and along the people who watched the movie were HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED. I could see it at the end of the screening. Never ever before have i seen people leaving the cinema halls before the screening ended in a SRK movie here in dubai. Overall the film was OK. I would say 3/4th of the movie was highly impressive considering the movie does not have many actors (Infact the entire movie has just 2 actors baring Vinay Pathak's small cameo), but the last half hour were probably the reason why people felt let down. Aditya Chopra made a brilliant 1st half and built a great tempo and great suspense till last half hour, but that all fizzled out in the last due to a ridiculous ending. I am a great SRK fan and still believe its a good movie, but considering the hype and high expectations i was highly disappointed and so were the other people who were watching it.

I have just come back after watching RAB NE BANA DI JODI, it’s an awesome movie. ADITYA CHOPRA proves himself once again that he is the magical person. SHAHRUKH KHAN carries the entire movie on his shoulder and it was an excellent performance by him, where as the cute and sweet ANUSHKA SHARMA has delivered her best performance, she doesn’t realize you that you are watching any debutant. I was having many expectations from this movie, because of SHAH RUKH KHAN, ADITYA CHOPRA’s directional venture after eight years, the biggest banner of the film industry ,YASH RAJ FILMS, and of course the cutest ANUSHKA. And I am happy to let you guys know that it’s beyond my expectations, I was not expecting something extra ordinary but this movie is… I really recommend to everyone, every couple every Jodi, it doesn’t matter you fell in love in your life or not, because after watching this movie, you love to be fell in love with someone, or try to analyze your love for your partner. The movie is beyond to everything, the powerful packed performances, highly execution of the sequences, well promoted movie, excellent and something extra ordinary, the Climax. The climax of the movie is the main spark and blast of the movie, and in my opinion I don’t think that any alternative could have made that impression on the viewers mind. I loved each and every scene of the movie, from the start till the end credits, specially the pictures and SHAHRUKH KHAN’s commentary in the end credits. I loved the song TUJH MEIN HAI RAB DEKHTA both version. Hats off to the entire cast and crew of the movie, one of the best movie I have ever seen or I must say that one and only one which stands above to all my favorite lists. Comparison is obvious when the director has given to mega blockbusters in his past, and let me clear you straight forward, if ADITYA has given you RAJ and SIMRAN in DDLJ, than in RAB NE BANA DI JODI they have given you a chance to live these two characters in your life, it doesn’t matter what you and who you are. It doesn’t matter to whom you love, it only matters that every Jodi have something special in their love story something extra ordinary, that’s why every couple love its partner a lot. When I watched DDLJ for the first time, I told myself that nobody can make anything beyond to this movie, but I was wrong, and ADITYA CHOPRA proves me wrong, RAB NE BANA DI JODI gives a chance gives an opportunity to live as you want to leave, no matters how much ordinary you are, you can be hero of your partner, but the thing you to feel is true love. I think it’s getting bigger and bigger, so let me close my review and my feelings, and recommends everyone to watch it. For me it’s above to DDLJ… it doesn’t matter to me what will be the status at the box office, for me this movie is my favorite and a mega mega mega blockbuster.

SRK fan or not this film is gonna rock bigtime. Its hilarious and SRK-Anushka pairing is brilliant. Anushka is so natural and delivers a towering performance here. She had a challenging role 1st up and that too with SRK and Yashraj, she is a complete phenomenon and delivers Emotions so well. SRK is the captain of the ship and he does justice to both roles he plays. Be it the comic timing, the heart trenching sequence or the song SRK is upto it with so much purity and conviction. Vinay Pathak is brilliant too and does his part well. Simply outstanding song picturization and soul touching Dialouges by Adi Chopra. A simple story told so well and kept so believable that one falls in love with all the characters. All the dialouges are still ringing in my head. On the whole [B]Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi[/B] is another gem in the King Khan's crown and it will go places. The common man will be so proud that SRK has portrayed him so well on screen. Sooner rather than later every person will be singing the phrase [B]Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Phir Milenge, Chalte Chalte[/B]..........
