Preeti Singh’s ALIYA BASU GAYAB HAI is a film revolving around a kidnapping. The story is about ex-convicts Vikram (Vinay Pathak) and Deepak (Salim Diwan). After coming out of jail, they decide to lay their hands on some quick money to live their life in luxury by kidnapping the rich... Aliya Basu (Raima Sen). They put their plan into action and succeed in kidnapping her. They ask for a high ransom from her wealthy father. However, one of the two kidnappers has a secret plan of his own. How the kidnapping goes and what follows forms the rest of the story.
