Rajinikanth gives his best wishes to Thalapathy Vijay and Lokesh Kanagaraj for Leo: “I wish the film great success”

One of the highly anticipated films of the year Leo, starring Thalapathy Vijay and Sanjay Dutt, is set to release in theatres on Thursday. Helmed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, the film is making the right kind of noise. As the hype is unprecedented, the team has received best wishes from superstar Rajinikanth. The actor gave his blessings to the makers.

Rajinikanth, who is all set to collaborate with Leo director Lokesh Kanagaraj in his upcoming movie, said at a recent press event, “I wish the film [Leo] great success and I will pray for the same. I came to Tuticorin back in the 70s during the shooting of Bhuvana Oru Kelvi Kuri.”

 

Several reports have previously suggested that Leo is a part of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s cinematic universe comprising Kamal Haasan’s Vikram and Karthi’s Kaithi. The movie also stars Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, Mansoor Ali Khan, Mysskin and Gautham Vasudev Menon and Anurag Kashyap among others. This action entertainer will release in multiple languages including Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam on October 19.

 

On the other hand, Rajinikanth is currently shooting for his next, tentatively titled Thalaivar 170, in Thiruvananthapuram. The film is directed by TJ Gnanavel and features an array of big names including Amitabh Bachchan, Fahadh Faasil, Manju Warrier, Rana Daggubati, Dushara Vijayan and Ritika Singh.
