The weekend on social media was abuzz with people posting about ending 2022 on a high note and gearing up to welcome 2023 in equal spirits. The year has also been quite eventful for the South Indian film industry where we saw the rise of many stars on a global level and many films being appreciated internationally. On that superb note, a few of them decided to take time off their hectic schedule as they rang in 2023. Amongst them were Mahesh Babu, Ram Charan, Vijay Deverakonda, Rashmika Mandanna, Prithiviraj Sukumaran, Kamal Haasan, and Allu Arjun, who took to social media to unveil their special plans as well as extended their New Year wishes to fans and followers.

Mahesh Babu

 

The Prince of South, Mahesh Babu had a family get-together for New Year this year as he spent it with his wife Namrata Shirodkar, kids Gautam and Sitara, sister-in-law Shilpa Shirodkar and her family, among others. His wife Namrata took to Instagram to share photos from the celebrations along with a long note wishing everyone on New Year.

 

 

Vijay Deverakonda

 

The Liger actor posted a shirtless photo of him enjoying in an infinity pool overlooking the ocean as he welcomed the New Year in ‘high spirits’. His classy New Year post received a lot of ‘hearts’ from his female fans. Although he didn’t disclose any details, the location reminded us of the water villas and pristine seas of the Maldives.

 

 

Rashmika Mandanna

 

Interestingly, the Sita Ramam actress too took to social media to share a post of her sunbathing on what looked like a beachside. And going by the same, she too looked like she was enjoying her time in Maldives or a location similar to it. We are not sure if this was a throwback image of an older vacation or whether Rashmika was truly in the beach paradise just like her Geetha Govindam co-star.

 

 

Ram Charan

 

With the international success of RRR and him embracing fatherhood, 2022 has been a special year for Ram Charan. The actor brought in the New Year with superstar Chiranjeevi and good friend Sharwanand. The latter took to Twitter to share a photo with the father-son duo along with posting New Year wishes for his fans.

 

 

Kamal Haasan

 

The superstar, who had a great 2022 with the grand success of Vikram, posted a happy picture of him taking a leap of sorts with a board sign that says, ‘One Way’. Along with this interesting picture, the actor extended his New Year wishes, and going by his picture, it seems that Kamal can’t hold the excitement of what the future has in store for him.

 

 

Prithviraj Sukumaran

 

Prithviraj Sukumaran posted a photo with his wife Supriya Menon on social media where he also extended his New Year wishes. The couple seems to have taken on a trip to enjoy the holiday season.

 

 

Allu Arjun

 

Allu Arjun and his wife Sneha Reddy took off to a beachy location with friends, family, and close ones and have been enjoying a fun trip. His wife took to social media to share a couple photo of them in beachy wear along with her New Year wish post.

 

 

Yash

 

It has been yet another successful year for the Kannada superstar Yash. His KGF Chapter 2 have broken records in Indian and international markets. Sharing his gratitude towards 2022, the actor posted a note about welcoming 2023 on Instagram.
