Netflix has officially announced its upcoming Tamil original film #Love, a contemporary romance that examines the timeless debate between chemistry and compatibility in relationships. Directed by Balaji Mohan and produced by Soundarya Rajinikanth under May6 Entertainment, #Love is part of Netflix’s newly unveiled slate of Tamil and Telugu originals — and promises to bring a refreshing twist to the modern-day romance genre. The streaming giant dropped the film’s first look on Instagram with the caption, “Ithu fate ah irukalam illa choice ah irukalam (It could be fate or it could be choice), but they are like two pieces of a puzzle that finally fit together.”

 

The story follows Tara, a passionate and ambitious startup founder, and Matthew, a confident and charming investor. Tara, who has built her dating app around the concept of compatibility, finds her beliefs challenged when she crosses paths with Matthew, whose own app champions chemistry as the real foundation of relationships. When their paths collide, a heated debate turns into a heartfelt connection — forcing both to test whether love is science, instinct, or something in between.
