Succession Season 4 hits a series high of 2.5 million viewers with stunning Episode 3
Succession, which already has 13 Emmys including Best Drama Series wins for its Season 2 and Season 3, has set an all-time high audience record with its stunning third episode of Season 4! According to Deadline, Sunday night’s episode reached 2.5 million viewers across HBO Max and linear telecasts, setting a new series high. That’s a 22% increase over last week’s same-day audience of 2 million and 7% more than Episode 1’s previous record setting audience of 2.3 million.
As reported by HBO, the Season 2 premiere episode has now reached nearly 7 million viewers across platforms since its release. The report suggests that Season 4 premiere was up by 62% compared to its last season’s premiere viewership of 1.4 million in October 2021.
Created by Jesse Armstrong, Succession also features J. Smith-Cameron, Alexander Skarsgård, Peter Friedman, David Rasche, Fisher Stevens, Hiam Abbass, Justine Lupe, Scott Nicholson, Zoe Winters and Jeannie Berlin. “The sale of media conglomerate Waystar Royco to tech visionary Lukas Matsson moves ever closer,” reads official logline for Season 4.
The logline continues, “The prospect of this seismic sale provokes existential angst and familial division among the Roys as they anticipate what their lives will look like once the deal is complete. A power struggle ensues as the family weighs up a future where their cultural and political weight is severely curtailed.” Succession Season 4 premiered on March 26.
New episodes debut Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT on HBO Max.
