Johnny Depp turns into Jack Sparrow to fulfill wish of a terminally ill Pirates of the Caribbean fan

Johnny Depp turned into the fan-favorite character Jack Sparrow to make an 11-year-old Pirates of the Caribbean fan's dreams come true. The actor put on his costume to send a video message to support a terminally ill kid named Kori who suffers from a heart condition.

On Sunday, Kori’s YouTube channel "Kraken The Box" shared a personal video that Depp recently sent in collaboration with the Make-A-Wish Foundation. "So, Capt. Kori, terribly sorry I missed out on this. Meant to say it, forgot to say it, didn't say it, gonna say it now. Saying it, I'll say it," Depp says in the video.

 

"I hear tell of something they speak about in the ages of now called the YouTube channel, which I don't understand, but why not?" Calling the kid "quite the YouTube channel man," Depp goes on to say he "shall be glad to follow your YouTube channel and I shall tell all my friends to follow your YouTube channel."

 

"That, I think, will make for a wonderful entertainment expertise momentary lapse of togetherness altogether in one space but far apart—but then, at the same time, very close," Depp continued being the eccentric Jack Sparrow. "Curious, enduring and strange." Kori's YouTube account is at 176,000 subscribers. The page was created on November 28 and features mostly pirate-themed videos.

 

"I wish you the best of luck. I am your No. 1 fan, Capt. Kori," Depp concluded the video as he blew a kiss to the camera closing out. According to People, the actor was contacted by Make-A-Wish with "a timely ask," as Kori is in palliative care.

 

Kori has so far received two heart transplants and is currently in palliative care. A source told the outlet that Kori is a "massive" fan of Jack Sparrow and frequently watched the Pirates movies "during his multiple heart surgeries and subsequent recovery periods."
