Gong Yoo and Seo Hyun Jin set to star in Netflix mystery series The Trunk
Netflix Korea announced on Monday that South Korea’s popular stars Gong Yoo and Seo Hyun Jin are set to work together in an upcoming Netflix series The Trunk. As per the synopsis, “the story draws a whirlwind of unforeseen events and secrets after a mystifying trunk is found in the depths of a lake.”
Seo Hyun Jin will essay the role of In Ji who is an employee of a matchmaking organization, NM. Gong Yoo is set to play the role of Jeong Won who is a solitary music producer and finds himself in an unexpected contract marriage contract with In Ji.
As reported by Netflix, “Jeong Won ironically encounters his ‘second wife’ In Ji through a contract-based marriage service arranged by his ex-wife Seo Yeon. However, their lives take a twist when a mysterious trunk found in the lake throws them into a whirlwind of secrets and events behind the matchmaking service.”
The Trunk will be written by Park Eun Young of Hwarang: The Poet Warrior Youth fame and directed by Our Blues director Kim Gyu Tae.
