BTS’ Jungkook deletes his Instagram account with no plans of reactivating in future
South Korean juggernaut group BTS’ Jungkook recently shocked hi fans by deleting his Instagram account with no plans of reactivating it in future. He later confirmed that he voluntarily deleted it and explained why he left the platform.
As shared by the Korean tabloid Soompi, soon after Jungkook deleted his account on February 28, he reassured fans through Weverse writing, “I deleted my Instagram account. It wasn’t hacked. I just deleted because I wasn’t using it much… So don’t worry!”
In other posts, he shared that he will continue to interact with fans using Weverse Live instead. “I immediately deleted the [Instagram] app too, and I don’t think I’ll be using it from now on! I just wanted to let you know in advance!,” he wrote.
Jungkook announced his exit from the app after an unplanned Weverse Live organized on Tuesday morning. The band’s maknae joined back in December 2021 along with his other bandmates RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin and V and had amassed more than 50 million followers on the platform.
