Star Plus unveils first glimpse of new romantic show starring Krushal Ahuja and Kanikka Kapur, title still under wraps
Television network Star Plus has offered audiences a first look at its upcoming romantic drama, though the title of the show is yet to be announced. The channel recently shared a teaser on its official social media platforms, introducing the lead pair and hinting at a fresh love story in the making.
Over the years, Star Plus has been associated with several popular romantic dramas, and its latest offering appears to follow that tradition. While details about the storyline remain limited, the teaser focuses on establishing the mood and introducing the central characters. The upcoming show stars Krushal Ahuja as Yuvraj Shekhawat and actress Kanikka Kapur as Tara. In the brief clip, Yuvraj is seen playing the piano and singing the famous song ‘Kuch Na Kaho’ (1942 A Love Story), setting a calm and romantic tone. Tara then enters the room, and the two share a slow dance, offering viewers a glimpse of their on-screen chemistry.
The visuals suggest a contemporary love story with a focus on emotion and interpersonal dynamics. The teaser avoids revealing major plot points but establishes an atmosphere that is gentle and intimate. The pairing of Krushal and Kanikka has already drawn attention online, with viewers expressing curiosity about their characters and the narrative that will unfold.
At a time when audiences continue to look for character-driven romantic dramas on television, the channel’s new project aims to fill that space. However, the makers have chosen to keep key details — including the show’s title, premiere date and supporting cast — under wraps for now.
Interestingly, while this marks the first association of Kanikka with Star Plus, Krushal has earlier received much love for his character Aniruddha in the popular show Jhanak. With promotional activity gradually picking up, more information is expected to be revealed in the coming weeks as the show gears up to premiere soon on Star Plus. Until then, the teaser has succeeded in generating conversation around Yuvraj and Tara’s story.
