Sharad Kelkar says, "Tum Se Tum Tak felt like the perfect choice” as he returns to TV after 8 years

Actor Sharad Kelkar is set to make his return to television with Tum Se Tum Tak, a new Zee TV drama that delves into an unconventional romance between two people from vastly different walks of life. The show is produced by Studio LSD Pvt Ltd and will premiere soon on Zee TV.

Set against the backdrop of a society where age, class, and financial status often define relationships, Tum Se Tum Tak presents the story of Anu, a 19-year-old girl from a modest, middle-class background, and Aryavardhan, a 46-year-old self-made business tycoon. Their unlikely relationship unfolds in the face of societal expectations and deep-rooted traditions, exploring whether love alone can bridge such stark differences.

 

Niharika Chouksey takes on the role of Anu, a young woman with dreams and values shaped by her upbringing. Sharad Kelkar plays Aryavardhan, a disciplined and respected businessman known for his composure and humility despite his wealth and position. The story contrasts the emotional warmth of a close-knit family with the formality and structure of an affluent lifestyle, offering a narrative that questions long-held cultural assumptions about what makes a relationship acceptable.

 

Sharad Kelkar shared his excitement about returning to the small screen after a significant break. “I am absolutely thrilled to return to television after eight years! I’ve been waiting for the right project, and Tum Se Tum Tak felt like the perfect choice the moment I heard the story. It’s fresh, unique, and explores love in a way we don’t often see on TV. This modern love story challenges conventional norms and beautifully proves that when two hearts truly connect, age is just a number,” said Kelkar.

 

He went on to add, “My character, Aryavardhan, is complex yet deeply relatable—he’s successful, grounded, and has a mature outlook on life, but love takes him by surprise in the most unexpected way.
