Farhan Akhtar also shared his appreciation for the film on Instagram. He wrote that he was "inspired by the true story of IPS Officer Manoj Kumar Sharma" and that he was "blown away by Vikrant Massey's performance." For the unversed, 12th Fail is a biographical drama film based on the true story of IPS Officer Manoj Kumar Sharma, who overcame many challenges to achieve his dream of becoming a police officer. The film is directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra and stars Vikrant Massey in the lead role.
