Ranbir Kapoor reveals he met Alia Bhatt when she was 9 years and he was 20 years old; says, “We did a photoshoot together for the Sanjay Leela Bhansali film Balika Vadhu”

While Ranbir Kapoor has shared many interesting insights about his life in a recent interview with Nikhil Kamat, it seems that the actor’s confession about his love for Alia Bhatt and their love story has gone quite viral. From playing the role of a devoted father to him falling in love with Alia Bhatt, every detail has captured the attention of RaAlia fans who couldn’t be more excited about the actor revealing these intimate details of his life. Recalling his first meeting with his ladylove, the Kapoor boy also had mentioned that he met her for the first time when they were planning to a shoot a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film Balika Vadhu.

In this interaction, the actor opened up about his first meeting with Alia Bhatt and also revealed that she was only 9 years and he was 20 years old. "The first time I met Alia was when she was 9 years old and I was 20 years old and we did a photoshoot together because Sanjay Leela Bhansali wanted to make a film called 'Balika Vadhu' about child marriage. That's the first time I met her. It seems a little weird now to say." Interestingly, while that film failed to take off, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor will be joining hands with Sanjay Leela Bhansali for another intriguing venture titled Love & War, which also stars Vicky Kaushal.

 

Further, elaborating on his relationship with Alia, Ranbir added, "I'm so lucky I married somebody I'm so close to as a friend where we can really chat, laugh, bitch. You know, like she's my best friend. I got really lucky with that. Alia is a wonderful person. She's somebody who's got... she's very colourful. She's 11 years younger than me and it's very funny.”

 

For the unversed Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt tied the knot in an intimate ceremony on April 14, 2022. The couple became parents to a baby girl named Raha Kapoor on November 6, the same year.
