Popular Pakistani actress Mahira Khan tied the knot with her longtime businessman beau Salim Karim on September 30, 2023. The actress was in a relationship with Karim for a little over five years. Salim Karim is the CEO of the Pakistani start-up Simpaisa. The actress has been sharing photos and videos from pre-wedding festivities, which saw the presence of her family, and close friends.

In her latest post, Mahira Khan stunned in a floral red and white Zara Shahjahan lehenga with red and gold bangles, earrings, and her hair tied in a ponytail. The actress also shared one of the photos with her husband Salim Karim as they held each other close. She did not caption the post but used a kiss emoji, heart hands and black heart emojis.

 

 

 

The actress also shared a series of photos and videos from her dholki ceremony where the entire gang of friends and her family members were dancing and singing to Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Maahi Ve’ from Kal Ho Na Ho. For unversed, the actress is an avid SRK fan and she even played his love interest in Raees in 2017. Sharing the pictures, Mahira wrote, “What a good. What a Best (nazar amulet emoji). So when I told my friends about the wedding… I also laid out a few ‘requests’.”

 

She continued, “This is how they went -Me - Guys please I’m too old for dances, can we not have dances? Friends - No. we have to. M - Ok just one? F - Hell No. M - Ok please no dholkis before Bhurban. We should all just chill. F - talk to the (raised hand emoji). As time came close and they all were over everyday.. I realised they just wanted to celebrate me and us. My childhood friends, work friends, my cousins… had seen it all with me - held me when I was down and clapped when I succeeded. I had done the same with them.”

 

She concluded her post, “To these insanely amazing humans I call family. I love you all so freaking much. Alhumdulillah. MashAllah (nazar amulet emoji). PS My bestest friend in the whole world surprised me at the Mehndi and I still can’t believe she made it. It’s her birthday today - I love you my insia lotia. Always and forever (black heart emoji).”

 

 

 

In the comment section, Varun Dhawan sent his best wishes by saying, “Congratulations Mahirah you deserve all the happiness bob.”

 

Her close friend and actor Sheheryar Munawar also shared a series of unseen moments from the wedding and penned a long note for Mahira. He wrote, "Meri Pyari Muni, from our first meeting a decade ago when you asked me who i was and what business i had being there ( you have a knack for setting the tone in the first meeting ) to dancing all night and pouring our hearts out to each other, knowing we both have “halka paits” … “but mahira this one you can’t tell anyone” - “sherry i’ll kill you if you tell anyone - and i mean ANYONE” , From having different methods ???? and annoying each other on sets to being each others confidants and support system on the toughest ones, From Competing to be @asimrazatvf favourite child to standing up for each other when it comes to everyone else - it’s been a beautiful journey, one i wouldn’t want to be on with anyone else. As you embark on a new journey, here’s celebrating you and wishing you all the love and magic the universe has to offer ! Even though i’ve shared the wedding stage with you on film so many times and was making fun of people for crying at the mehndi - seeing you walk down that aisle had me bawling. you and saleem both looked beautiful and you both lucked out... On the work front, Mahira Khan was last seen in The Legend of Maula Jatt with Fawad Khan. The film is Pakistan’s most expensive film to date and went on to amass $13.8 million worldwide on 500 screens. In her next, she is working with Fawad again on his production Neelofar. She is currently starring in a mini-series Razia and will next star in a movie with Humayun Saeed.
