Pakistani actress Mahira Khan tied the knot with her long-time beau Salim Karim. On October 3, the actress shared the first picture from her dreamy wedding with her husband in which they look like a regal couple. Mahira Khan just shared snippets of her pre-wedding Maayun rituals, delighting fans and well-wishers days after her wedding. For those who are unfamiliar, mayoon is a pre-wedding tradition in Pakistan during which the bride frequently spends seven to fifteen days before the wedding in solitude. Up until the wedding, the groom is to be kept out of sight. In other instances, she wears yellow to a gathering where her close friends are present.  Mahira, who is renowned for her grace on and off-screen, exuded pure joy as she participated in the traditions and rituals that make weddings so memorable.

Mahira Khan, the well-established Pakistani actress doesn't just know good acting, she even hits the right notes when it comes to fashion. The star knows how to nail every white outfit that she chooses. This time, she brought out a gem of a salwar kameez from her ethnic wardrobe. This ethnic wear is more than a basic component in her Indian & Pakistan wear collection. The white outfit has a blend of textures, with tone on tone design. Golden embroidery patterns adorned the front of the kameez and neckline. The kameez displayed a keyhole neckline and long sheer sleeves. Mahira carried a similar dupatta that featured golden tassels along the golden border. Golden churidar and golden juttis completed her look. She took a bud of the motia and put it in her baali. Sleek eyeliner with fluttery lashes, blush-tinted cheeks and pink lipstick, contributed to her minimal makeup. Her wavy hair was loosely braided.

 

 

Mahira chose an orange Anarkali with embellishments for another outfit. She wore long sleeves that made a statement. She complemented it with an orange dupatta that had borders decorated with green lace. She set up a dupatta on her head and shoulder to complete her appearance. She accessorised with floral hand corsages, a baby breath garland around her neck, and green bangles. She opted for subdued eyeliner on her eyes and a red tint on her lips and cheeks for cosmetics. She made a bun out of her hair.

 

She wrote on Instagram, “My mother had one wish… to start the wedding with a dua. My beautiful Ama, who is in a wheel chair - one would think she can’t do much - but really, she can do everything and anything. She sat and managed the decoration downstairs, the table, the moving around of furniture anddd she was ready dot on time… Alhumdulillah for our parents."
