Ki and Ka music looks and sounds very appetizing

'Fool Ishq, tedha medha, kuch kuch mera, zyaada tera', simple quirky lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya and mind numbingly melting composition by the maestro Illaiyaraja. My evening was in a trance and the deliriously laid back acoustic guitar continues to resonate in my mind. R Balki along with T Series and Eros gave a preview of the music of Ki and Ka to a select group of journalists a short while back. The lead pair of Arjun Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor Khan were also present. Ki and Ka music looks and sounds very appetizing

Three music videos were shown to the media and an audio preview of two other songs was given. 'High Heel' is a foot tapping energetic number that finds a classy Kareena in a black corporate attire and cap whipping up superlative frenzy with Arjun matching her enthusiasm perfectly. 'Most Wanted Munda' is a song that details how a house husband in Arjun gains popularity amongst women of the house and ladies of his housing society. The Kapoor lad is shown craftily cooking up one delicious recipe after another while Kareena climbs the stairs of corporate success. A love story on the sidelines of a cute gravy train. Bring it on! 'Pump It' finds Arjun devising a unique way to making money. With lyrics like 'Body mein jo music hai usme bhi to magic hai' you can rest assured that there will be many a surprises.

Meet Bros Annjan have composed 'High Heel', 'Most Wanted Munda' and 'Pump It' while Kumar has written the lyrics. The layered-with-sadness number 'Ji Juzoori' is composed by Mithoon with very impressive lyrics by Saeed Qadri, 'Mohabbat Hai Ye, Ji Hazoori Nahin'. It is a gila shikva song in a modern context. I've already spoken about 'Fool Ishq'. I would love to see the picturization of this gem of a song.

Director R Balki who didn't hit the high notes of success with his last release Shamitabh seems to have found his magical touch yet again. After a delightfully different theatrical trailer of Ki and Ka, the music is a cherry on what looks like a very appetizing cake. Mr Balki disclosed that Illaiyaraja has done the background score of the film besides composing 'Fool Ishq'.
