KBC 15: Amitabh Bachchan reveals that he is still ‘waiting for’ Gauri Khan to call after Shah Rukh Khan offered to ask her to design his vanity van

Amitabh Bachchan has always received lots of love from the Indian masses for his role as host of the popular quiz reality show Kaun Banega Crorepati 15. The legendary actor and thespian has also taken to the stage to share some of the fondest memories he has experienced with fellow actors, co-stars and others from the film fraternity and recently he shared an interesting anecdote about Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan. In his show, Amitabh Bachchan revealed that once Shah Rukh Khan had offered to speak to Gauri Khan to design his vanity van.

In the show, one of the questions revolved around interior designing, wherein the contestant was asked the name of the author of the book My Life In Design. The question was about the wife of the celebrity who wrote this book and the options given were Akshay Kumar, Shah Rukh Khan, Sachin Tendulkar, and Chetan Bhagat. After the contestant answered it correctly, Amitabh shared details about the book and how it explains the journey of Mrs. Khan aka Gauri Khan as an interior designer along with an exclusive sneak peek into her family and home.

 

During the same moment, he also recalled how he had visited Shah Rukh Khan’s vanity recently and loved its vibe. He said, “Shah Rukh told me that Gauri has designed it. He even said that I would ask her to design one for you,” he said, adding with a laugh, “Par abtak aayi nahi hai (But she is yet to contact me).”

 

For the unversed, Gauri Khan is known for her interior décor designs, and has designed the home and vanity vans of some of the biggest Bollywood celebrities like Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, among others.

 

Kaun Banega Crorepati 15 started airing on Sony Entertainment Television from August 15 onwards at 9 pm.
