Karan Johar buries his hatchet with Kartik Aaryan? Filmmaker highly praises Shehzada trailer
Last to last year, news about Karan Johar and Kartik Aaryan’s fallout made headlines for quite some time. It was one of the biggest Bollywood controversies of 2021. This resulted in Kartik having to quit Dostana 2, the sequel to the Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham and Priyanka Chopra-starrer 2008 comic dram Dostana.
But it now seems that all is well between Karan and Kartik. The filmmaker cum producer has openly praised the trailer of Kartik’s upcoming movie Shehzada, which was released yesterday. Karan took to his Instagram story and shared the trailer of the movie and wrote, “MASAALE SE BHARPOOR AUR ENTERTAINMENT KA ZABARDAST TADKA! CONGRATULATIONS TO TEAM SHEHZADA!!! (followed by three blast emojis).” The Kuch Kuch Hota Hai director, however, didn’t mention Kartik in his message.
Kartik’s first movie after the fallout with Karan was Anees Bazmee’s Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. In an interview with E Times last month after enjoying the success of the movie, the actor said that a lot of people doubted his capabilities before the film’s release.
He had said, “It was being widely said that I won’t be able to do Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 well enough. Here, I was being directly doubted. In my heart of hearts, however, I knew that this movie will work and bring the public back to the theatres and I had told this to (producer) Kumar Mangat. I knew that I would be able to do it in my way and take this film to a high level.”
Directed by Rohit Dhawan and also starring Kriti Sanon, Shehzada will be releasing in cinemas on February 10.
