Kantara: A Legend – Chapter 1 Mumbai event: Title song featuring Rishab Shetty, Diljit Dosanjh shown EXCLUSIVELY to media; Rishab promises, “We have NOT given much in the trailer; in climax, you’ll get what you’re expecting and also what you’re NOT expecting”

Rishab Shetty, Rukmini Vasanth, producer Chaluve Gowda of Hombale Films and distributor Anil Thadani and costume designer Pragathi Shetty attended the press meet of their film Kantara: A Legend – Chapter 1 at a five-star hotel in Mumbai. Many attendees were upset as, despite the event being called a ‘press meet’, there was no Q-and-A session with the media. Instead, it was more of a moderated conversation between the host and the team of the film. However, the media got a surprise as the song ‘O Mere Kantara’ featuring Diljit Dosanjh and Rishab Shetty was screened for them before its release in the public domain.

Towards the end of the conversation, the host asked Rishab Shetty about the presence of an animal in the trailer. On this, the actor said, “You should wait for the film. It’s not just an animal; it’s a beautiful character. A lot of such aspects are not there in the trailer. We have not given out a lot of stuff in the promo. Anil Thadani sir and I keep joking about it (laughs). There were some who had a doubt whether we had given out or not given out anything about the film in the trailer. I told them, ‘Hombale Films ka logo aayega na; woh logo aane ke baad hi film shuru ho jaayegi’. So, I promise you that there's a lot to look forward to in the film.”

 

Kantara (2002) became even more special thanks to its mesmerizing climax. On this, Rishab Shetty said, “The audience has an expectation that the climax will be similar to the last 20 minutes of the previous film. All I can say is – you’ll get what you’re expecting and you’ll also get what you’re not expecting!”

 

Rishab Shetty, however, hinted, “The story is set in the 4th or 5th century. I didn’t realize ki itna peeche jaunga main!”

 

Kantara: A Legend – Chapter 1 releases in cinemas on October 2.
