The excitement increased even further after reports confirmed Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s addition to the dark and mysterious world of Tumbbad 2.

Released originally in 2018, Tumbbad gradually evolved into a cult phenomenon for its unique blend of horror, mythology, folklore, and social commentary. Over the years, the film built a loyal fanbase, and its 2024 theatrical re-release emerged as one of the highest-grossing Indian re-releases, further cementing its legacy.
Recent reports surrounding Tumbbad 2 have also added to the growing anticipation. It has been reported that the makers are planning a massive 200-day shoot schedule and constructing a sprawling 7 to 8-acre city-like set in Mumbai to bring the sequel’s world to life on an even grander scale.
Backed by Sohum Shah Films in collaboration with Pen Studios, the sequel is expected to go on floors later this year. The project is being spearheaded by Sohum Shah under his production banner alongside veteran producer Jayantilal Gada of Pen Studios, known for backing major films such as RRR and Gangubai Kathiawadi.
With Nawazuddin Siddiqui now officially associated with the project and the scale of production continuing to grow, Tumbbad 2 has already become one of the most anticipated upcoming films in Indian cinema.
