Hema Malini turns 75: Inside the grand celebration of Dream Girl’s special day, watch videos
Bollywood icon Hema Malini celebrated her 75th birthday on October 16, 2023, with a star-studded bash. The party was attended by her family, friends, and colleagues from the film industry.
Hema's husband Dharmendra, daughters Esha Deol and Ahana Deol, and grandchildren Radhya and Riaan were all present at the celebration. Other guests included Salman Khan, Rajkummar Rao, Vidya Balan, Madhuri Dixit, Jaya Bachchan, Padmini Kolhapure, and Rekha.
Hema looked stunning in a pink saree, while Dharmendra looked dapper in a blue suit. The couple cut their birthday cake together and fed it to each other. They also enjoyed a performance on the popular song, ‘Dream Girl.’
In a video that surfaced online, Hema is seen dancing to the song, ‘Tune Oo Rangeele’ from her 1981 film Kudrat, co-starring Rajesh Khanna. She was also joined by Rekha on the stage, who danced with her on the song, ‘Kya Khoob Lagti Ho.’ Rekha dedicated the song to the birthday girl as she gestured towards her while dancing to it.
Hema also fed the cake to Juhi Chawla and posed with her for the paparazzi in front of a backdrop that read, "Celebrating Dream Girl."
Esha Deol had wished her mother on her birthday with a heartfelt note earlier in the day. She wrote, “Happy birthday mamma / Celebrating you today & forever.. a divine lady who lives life on her own terms with utmost grace & dignity.. a powerhouse.. A loving daughter & wife, compassionate mother, adorable grandmother, fantastic actor, graceful dancer , honest politician & the list can just go on & on … you are a force .. blessed by your parents, loved by the nation & adored by your husband, daughters & grandchildren. There can be only one Dream girl one Hemamalini.”
