Happy Birthday Aditya Roy Kapur!: Throwback to when Aditya Roy Kapur was a VJ interviewed his Fitoor costar Katrina Kaif

Aditya Roy Kapur is celebrating his 37th birthday today. While Aditya predominantly works in Hindi films, he started off his career as a VJ on a leading music channel and worked there for almost four years.

As a VJ, Aditya once interviewed Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif, who later went on to become his Fitoor co-star. In the interview, Katrina talked about her life, career and more. During the conversation, Aditya also quizzed Katrina about her Kathak dancing skills.

 

“You have learnt how to do Kathak, the dancing thing, in 40 days, 7 hours a day, this is what I read” he asked with astonishment. Katrina replied, “For one year, I was on and off working there but at one point, there is a particular type of training which consists of 40 days. And it’s continuous from 7AM to 1PM, which my guru wanted me to do so.”

 

When Aditya asked Katrina why she took it up, the actress said, “I think just something I wanted to do. At that point, I wasn’t actually sure what I was gonna do regarding the movies but it was just something I wanted to do. Someone had suggested to me and I liked it, I found it helpful.”

 

Aditya further asked whether she had to make those smiling faces and move her head or those side head movements, to which Katrina gently corrected, “That’s not Kathak... I must admit I’ve not done any of that in my Kathak lessons. Side Buddha movements with a smiling face, no.”

Meanwhile, Aditya made his acting debut with Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn's 2009 film London Dreams. He rose to fame after leading role alongside Shraddha Kapoor in Aashiqui 2. The actor was last seen in Rashtra Kavach Om with Sanjana Sanghi and next has a crime thriller Gumraah with Mrunal Thakur in the pipeline.
