"Even my wife can't guess how I feel about my films" - Akshay Kumar

 

It is going to be a big Friday indeed for Akshay Kumar who would be arriving with a film of his, nine months after Boss. For an actor who usually has a film of his practically releasing once every three or four months, it has been a rather big break indeed with Holiday arriving now.

So what it is that is going on in your mind currently?

 

Well, I know for sure that audience is hoping that Holiday isn't just another action packed, in your face, hero and villain a$$ kicking routine. In fact this is the reason why we are showing mine and Sonakshi's playful romance so as to entice women out there to come and enjoy our 'Holiday', As for the testosterone filled men, there is some good macho fight in the offing too which they would love (smiles).

 

 

For a film that has a soldier thwarting a terrorist attack, there appears to be ample good song-n-dance routine in the offing by you and Sonakshi.

 

(Laughs) I think I haven't had these many compliments about my dancing ever since I jived with Sonakshi to the music of Rowdy Rathore. I adore all the songs in Holiday; it's one of the best attributes of Vipulji (Shah). Aankhen, Waqt, London Dreams, Actionn Replayy - it is quite apparent that he has a fantastic taste in music and so do I (winks). The songs of Holiday are delightful.

 

 

From Rowdy Rathore to Holiday, you have worked with yet another director from down South, A.R. Murugadoss.

 

For a little guy, he has an imagination that could scare the cr&p out of The Incredible Hulk. He is absolutely fascinating once you get to know him. At first we were both very quiet with each other, but it didn't take long for our personalities to shine on set. One minute he would be sitting out there not saying a word. And then soon after he will be jumping out of his box with sheer excitement for his shot, or scream for a gun if he's not happy (laughs).

 

 

How happy and confident you are for Holiday?

 

My confidence on any film is locked entirely inside me. No one, not even my wife can even guess how I feel about any of my films. Professionally I need to keep any feelings aside so that I can face the film and its judgment with a clear head. My personal perception has to stay out of the picture.
