From Baby to Gabbar Is Back, Akshay Kumar's 2015 by far seems to be a successful year. And the actor already has a few other ventures lined up which includes Nikhil Advani's Airlift and Prabhu Dheva directorial Singh Is Bliing. While the film has undergone a few changes incluing the replacement of Kriti Sanon with Amy Jackson, the shoot of the film has started on full swing.

Akshay Kumar posted a picture of the first day of the shoot saying, "In Patiala, started the day with Waheguru's blessings at the Gurudwara and now it's time for day 1 of ?#?SinghIsBliing?!" Sporting a turban, Akshay was seen holding a 'blingy' crystal studded clapperboard of the film. If the picture is anything to go by, Akshay's simple avatar somehow resembles that of his Singh Is Kinng look. However, previously after Prabhu Dheva announced the title, he was often quizzed about the film being a sequel to the Akshay-Katrina starrer but the director firmly denied any kind of resemblance between the two films. Considering the fact that both the films are directed and produced by different individuals, we hear that except for the title, there are no similarities between the two films.
When quizzed about the reason behind the development of clapper a source close to the film says, "Yes the clapper board does have real crystal, but we cannot disclose the actual cost. As for the reason why it was made Ashvini though it would be a good piece of memorabilia for the film."
Later, producer Ashvini Yardi took to Twitter to share another image with Akshay Kumar wherein the team had visited the Gurudwara to seek the blessings of the Lord.
Produced by Ashvini Yardi in association with Pen India, Singh Is Bliing also stars Lara Dutta in a prominent role and is slated to release on October 2, 2015.
