align="right"/> Things are looking up again for Priyanka Chopra. With Krrish 3, she has "Box Office is the King" - Priyanka on joining 200 crore club

 

now scored her fourth 100 crore success, hence turning out to be record holder for highest

 

number of centuries. While, she is joined by Kareena Kapoor, Asin and Sonakshi Sinha who too have

 

four centuries each to their name, an even bigger feat is her entering the 200 crore club which

 

currently had only two actresses - Deepika Padukone (Chennai Express) and KareenaKapoor

 

(3 Idiots) with one film each.

 

 

"It is a big revival by all means," comments an industry insider, "Though her journey has been

 

punctuated by disasters like Zanjeer (2013), Teri MeriKahaani (2012) and 7

 

KhoonMaaf (2011), when she has scored, she has scored really big. Each of her films in the

 

interim period have been successful and turned out to be 100 crore successes."

 

 

This is indeed a startling observation, considering the fact that Don 2, Agneepath, Barfi!

 

And Krrish 3 have all been huge.

 

 

"Though cynics may argue that most of her films have been led to the 100 crore mark by the

 

leading men, let's not forget that eventually it is a package affair. Moreover, just like

 

Priyanka was criticized when Zanjeer turned out to be a huge flop, she should also be

 

credited with the success of Krrish 3. It should be even-stevens, isn't it," questions a

 

close associate.

 

 

The reasoning does hold true, especially considering the fact that this is indeed the case with

 

most other leading ladies as well whose 100 crore successes have been driven by their male

 

counterparts.

 

 

"Nevertheless, Priyanka has a major role to play in Gunday while she is the central

 

protagonist in Mary Kom," the insider adds, "While former is a 'masala' affair, latter

 

has her in a true-blue performance oriented part. Though one waits to see the box office

 

response to these films, the fact remains that Priyanka would be pretty much coming on her own

 

out there."

 

 

When contacted, Priyanka said, "It's a great moment. I feel very proud of being a part of such

 

successful films. Box Office is the King."

 

 

Meanwhile, the dice has been rolled for her closest competitor Deepika Padukone to match up to

 

her four 100 crore successes, what with Ram Leela coming up next.
