Arjun Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, others share heartfelt posts as they meet David Beckham

Just a day ago, we had exclusively reported that Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Anand Ahuja will be coming together to host a grand bash to welcome renowned football legend David Beckham, who was in India as the UNICEF ambassador. According to Bollywood Hungama reports, it was expected to be an exclusive soiree with only a few celebrities who were invited for the event. Among them was the family of Sonam Kapoor including her cousins Arjun Kapoor, his bae Malaika Arora, Shanaya Kapoor, and friends like Shahid Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor and Farhan Akhtar.

Maheep Kapoor, aunt of Sonam Kapoor, shared a series of photos of her interacting and posing with David Beckham. She also shared a family picture with the entire Kapoor clan which included Arjun Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Shanaya Kapoor, and even their friend Karisma Kapoor, and she expressed her gratitude towards Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja for the bash. In her note, she wrote, “Ahhhhhmazing evening ???????? Family , Friends & the cherry on the cake DAVID BECKHAM !!!!!!! #SuchAGentleman ???? Thank you my darling @sonamkapoor & @anandahuja”.

Harsh Varrdhan Kapoor, brother of Sonam Kapoor, was fanboying over Beckham as he posted, “Since I was probably the only person at that party that has actually watched every game beckhams played and passionately followed his career at united and beyond I felt like I should take a photo.. I’m now sharing it with the rest of the world since everyone else is sharing theirs”.

Rhea Kapoor posted photos of the host Sonam Kapoor and of several guests saying, “A family affair… thanks for dinner Ahuja’s!”

On the other hand, Farhan Akhtar attended the bash with his forever-plus one, Shibani Dandekar and the latter posted about it saying, “@davidbeckham It was an honour to meet a legend in person that was so patient, kind and warm! You were so lovely thank you! Hope to see you again real soon”. She added, “Thank you to @sonamkapoor and @anandahuja who are such gracious hosts and made it such a special night for everyone. No one does it like you guys”.

Fan Arjun Kapoor also penned a long note saying, “A night to remember… To meet someone u have admired from afar for so many years & to be able to talk face to face with him about his new life in Miami, football, India, travel, his kids, philanthropy & everything else I could squeeze into a 15 minute dinner table chat. Grateful to have met @davidbeckham & completely in awe of his genuine sincerity towards spending time with all of us & being kind enough to allow every fan boy/girl in that room to feel elated to get a picture & time with him… Thank You @sonamkapoor & @anandahuja for fulfilling this childhood dream of mine !!!”

Whereas, his ladylove dedicated the post to her son Arhaan Khan, as she said, “This one’s for you @iamarhaankhan …. Our all time favourite @davidbeckham ??….. thank you @sonamkapoor @anandahuja for such a warm n beautiful evening”.

Shahid Kapoor shared a photo of him and Mira Kapoor posing with Beckham in a joint post saying, “When me and the wife both met our teenage crush @davidbeckham”. Karisma Kapoor added a quirky caption to her post saying, “Did it for the kids ????…Swipe ?? Not really ???? So warm and gracious”.

Host Anand Ahuja also posted a series of pictures of how guys in the bash decided to sneak out for a while to catch the update on the ongoing ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023. “Just another vision of how sport brings us together! ..it was tense for a minute but @indiancricketteam clamped down and pulled through! Thanks @arjunkapoor for making sure we had a big TV set up showing the match during dinner just so people could sneak in and out to catch a glimpse of India’s tremendous semi finals victory on the way to its fourth ODI World Cup Finals appearance!!” he captioned.

In our earlier report, a source had claimed that this was not just a night of get-togethers and special moments but something more professional is possibly brewing between the Ahujas and Beckhams. “Together, they are pop culture shapers of the world. So, there could be more than what meets the eye about this dinner. Let’s wait and watch!” the source had said. However, no announcement of any sorts has been made as yet.
