Akshay Kumar's comments on Rajpal Yadav bring the house down at Bhooth Bangla trailer launch: "Look at his face. Isko dekhke hasee aati hai…yeh aise baat karta hai jaise kavi sammelan mein aaya ho!"

Akshay Kumar, Tabu, Wamiqa Gabbi, Mithila Palkar, Rajpal Yadav, Paresh Rawal, Rajesh Sharma, director Priyadarshan and producer Ekta Kapoor attended the launch of their film Bhooth Bangla. The film reunites Akshay and Rajpal Yadav after a long time. Akshay spoke about it and it brought the house down.

Akshay Kumar said, “Look at his face. He’s full of fun. Main jab bhi isko dekhta hoon toh mujhe hasee aati hai! Audience ko hasee aati hai.”

 

He continued, “When Paresh Rawal saab says a serious dialogue, toh bahut mazaa aata hai. I can’t say the same about Tabu, as she’s a very serious actor. Yeh comedy wala dialogue bhi bolti hai toh serious lagta hai (laughs).”

 

He further said, “We have done a lot of masti, eaten great food while shooting the film. We had a very good outdoor shoot in Rajasthan, which was memorable.”

 

Rajpal Yadav took the mic and revealed, “The first instruction that Priyan sir gives is ‘don’t act’. Since the time of Hungama (2003), I have become a student in front of you. I am sometimes even scared. Priyan is a master of his craft. When the jockey is powerful, the horse also runs faster!”

As the audience clapped, he added, “Comedy is a serious business. And Akshay paaji is also very serious. He wakes up at 4 am or 5 am and reaches the set at 7 am. This is a feat for an actor who’s about to complete 4 decades in the industry. When I began working with him on Bhooth Bangla, I saw the same Akshay Kumar with whom I had worked in Phir Hera Pheri (2006) and Bhagam Bhag (2006). This is the magic of Priyan sir.”

 

Akshay Kumar interrupted to add to the fun, “Tu ek baat bata. Tu jab baat karta hai toh aisa kyun lagta hai ki tu kavi sammelan mein aaya hua hai? (laughs)”

 

Bhooth Bangla releases in cinemas on April 17 and will have paid previews from 9:00 pm on April 16.
