Top Gun: Maverick Box Office: Tom Cruise starrer ends Week 1 with Rs. 17.7 cr.

The Tom Cruise starrer Top Gun: Maverick which is a sequel to the 1986 film Top Gun released a week ago. While globally the film has been doing stellar business, in India the Hollywood actioner has faced an uphill task.

In fact, after a slow start at the box office, the business of Top Gun: Maverick did see a bit of an increase over its opening weekend. However in the subsequent weekdays the business of the film saw a sharp decline. Ending its first week in theatres with a collection of Rs. 17.7 cr Top Gun: Maverick has found the going rather difficult at the Indian box office.

 

Going forward, while the film has received positive reviews, the lack of buzz and promotions around it have severely dented its overall business. However, despite this, Top Gun: Maverick continues to run in a few locations, and is expected to see a bit more growth in its second weekend.
