The Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial Gangubai Kathiawadi starring Alia Bhatt released a week ago; since then the film has been unstoppable at the box office. After opening on a good note the collections of the film saw an increase over its opening weekend while remaining more or less stable on its first Monday. Now at the close of its first week in theatres, the collections of Gangubai Kathiawadi are pegged at Rs. 68.93 cr.

As of now, Gangubai Kathiawadi still continues to run in theatres with audience patronizing the film in droves. In fact, with theatre functioning resuming normalcy with 100% occupancy it is likely that the business of the film will see immense growth. Given the current positive trend and the fact that Gangubai Kathiawadi has maintained its momentum at the box office, it is likely that the business of the film will close the gap to the Rs. 100 cr mark if not cross it by the end of its second weekend.
