The Amarnath Yatra in ATHWS

After the success of Gadar, director Anil Sharma is gearing up for his November release Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Sathiyo. His film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar and Bobby Deol in lead roles. Anil Sharma recently canned the hugely popular Amarnath Yatra in Kashmir. The shoot was challenging, considering it had to be done in Kashmir. Shooting was conducted in top security atmosphere. We were flown in by choppers, and the media was completely uninformed the Gadar man informs us. Once Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayed green signaled the shoot, permission from the Amarnath trust body was taken. Also, protection from the BSF, Army and the local police was called in to ward off any unfortunate incident. It was a three-day shoot. This sequence has 8-minute footage in the film. Sitting in his editing office, director Anil Sharma recounts, It was a very emotional experience, considering we were going to cover something as sacred as the Amarnath yatra, but shooting in Kashmir kept raising concern. "Main toh ketha hoon, har admi ko Kashmir dekhna chahiye The sequence is looking like a great cinematic experience for the moviegoers. Mounted on a huge canvas, the promos are expected to hit the air by 29th of this month.
